Cherokee Village was once again named one of Arkansas' safest cities in 2017. SafeWise released its “20 Safest Cities in Arkansas” report on November 27, 2017. To compile this report, SafeWise used the most recent FBI violent and property crime data from 2015 to analyze and rank these cities, which all have a minimum population of 3,000 people.
“Based on the most recent FBI crime report, a violent offense occurs every twenty-six seconds in the United States. So we were pleased to find that over half of the twenty safest cities in Arkansas reported no robberies, and all but two cited zero murders. What’s more, the safe cities of Greenbrier, White Hall, and Cherokee Village cited fewer than one violent crime per 1,000 people,” said SafeWise Security Analyst, Alexia Chianis.
